FORT ST. JOHN — Mounties in Fort St John, B.C., say three suspects have been charged with manslaughter following a death earlier this week.

A statement from Fort St John RCMP says police received a report of an assault on Tuesday.

Police say they found one person unresponsive at the scene, who was later declared ded.

A separate statement Saturday says three suspects have been arrested and charges of manslaughter were approved by the BC Prosecution Service.

Cpl. Paul Waterman, with the Serious Crimes Unit, says police believe the case to be an isolated incident with no additional threat to the public.

The statement says two suspects have been taken into police custody and the third is being held by police ahead of a bail hearing.
