The ’Cats move to 4-0 in the second half after completing the first half of the season at a disappointing 12-14
The Victoria HarbourCats continued their roll in the second half of the West Coast League baseball season.
The ’Cats routed the Ridgefield Raptors 20-5 in southern Washington state on Friday night to move to 4-0 in the second half after completing the first half of the season at a disappointing 12-14.
The HarbourCats began the chase for the North Division second-half crown, and playoff berth that goes with it, by sweeping the Nanaimo NightOwls in the three-game Island rivalry series last week.
Victoria continued the set in Ridgefield, a suburb of Vancouver, Washington, against the Raptors on Saturday night and conclude it today, before a three-game series in Port Angeles against the Lefties beginning on Monday night.
The ’Cats return home on Friday night to open a three-game set at Wilson’s Group Stadium at Royal Athletic Park against the visiting Kelowna Falcons.
The NightOwls, meanwhile, are in Edmonton this weekend to play the Riverhawks before returning to the Harbour City to face the Falcons in a three-game set beginning on Tuesday night at Serauxmen Stadium.
