The HarbourCats are off to a blazing 8-1 start in the second half of the WCL season

The Victoria HarbourCats completed a cross-strait, cross-border West Coast League baseball sweep of the Lefties with a 9-4 win in Port Angeles Wednesday.

The HarbourCats, who are off to a blazing 8-1 start in the second half of the WCL season (20-15 overall), open a three-game series against the Kelowna Falcons on Friday night at Wilson’s Group Stadium at Royal Athletic Park.

The Nanaimo NightOwls (3-2 in the second half and 15-17 overall) concluded their WCL set against the Falcons (3-2 in the second half and 12-20 overall) with a 3-1 win Wednesday night at Serauxmen Stadium in the Harbour City. The ’Owls open a three-game series against the visiting Wenatchee AppleSox on Friday night at Serauxmen Stadium.
