A woman was arrested at a residence in the 900-block of Johnson Street in connection with the case, Victoria police said
A woman was arrested in downtown Victoria last week as part of a drug-trafficking investigation that led to the seizure of half a kilogram of fentanyl, a kilogram of cocaine and a kilogram of methamphetamine, along with an electric Ford Mustang and $7,500 in cash.
The police department’s Strike Force Unit directed the seizure after making the arrest at a residence in the 900-block of Johnson Street on June 26.
The unit had started its investigation earlier in June. Police said the suspect was observed to be involved in trafficking controlled substances throughout the capital region.
The Mustang is now subject to civil forfeiture, police said.
Deputy Chief Jamie McRae said the quantity of drugs seized was “significant.”
The Strike Force Unit is a specialized investigation team that uses techniques such as covert surveillance and undercover operations, with a focus on dangerous and prolific offenders.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
