Southbound traffic on the Pat Bay Highway at Sayward Road was closed Sunday morning due to a police incident.
Saanich police said it was responding to several reports of a vehicle “operating dangerously.” The vehicle was first spotted at 6:30 a.m. Sunday and travelled through several jurisdictions in the capital region before police were able to stop the vehicle at 10 a.m. on the Pat Bay Highway
Saanich police said there is no danger to public safety.
Several police vehicles and an ambulance were on the scene.
Southbound traffic on the Pat Bay at Sayward Road is being blocked until further notice, said police. Drivers are asked to find alternate routes if they are heading southbound from the Saanich Peninsula.
