Victoria police are investigating a pair of stabbings Wednesday in the downtown area, one of which left a woman with “serious and life-altering” injuries.
It happened about 8 p.m. near the intersection of Douglas Street and Pandora Avenue.
Police arrived to find a woman with multiple stab wounds and provided medical care alongside paramedics, before the woman was transported to hospital.
Earlier in the day, a woman suffered a non-life-threatening stab wound to her chest in the 900-block of Pandora Avenue.
The woman was taken to hospital for treatment.
She is believed to know the other person involved in the incident around 9 a.m, police said.
No arrests were made Wednesday, police said, and the investigation is ongoing.
Police said they don’t currently believe the stabbings are connected.
