The crash caused traffic delays for people going to and from the Tsawwassen ferry terminal.
A 37-year-old man from Port Alberni was injured in a motorcycle crash on Highway 17 Saturday that caused traffic delays near the B.C. Ferries terminal in Tsawwassen, police said.
B.C. RCMP said the man remains hospitalized in serious condition and is expected to survive.
The B.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash, which occurred Saturday at around 11:13 a.m. and involved the motorcyclist and an SUV.
Police said the SUV driver was not injured and remained on the scene.
Highway 17 on the Tsawwassen Causeway between Salish Sea Drive and Tsawwassen Drive was closed in both directions for most of Saturday after the crash, with those travelling to and from the ferry terminal taking an alternate route through Tsawwassen.
