West Shore RCMP said the Explosives Device Unit conducted a “thorough examination” of the box, determining that there was no explosive device inside.

Police gave the all-clear at 5:40 p.m.

“We thank the public and residents of the area for their patience as we worked to ensure public safety in this incident,” West Shore RCMP said in a statement.
