Shamrocks rally to beat Adanacs

The Victoria Shamrocks rallied from 3-0 and 4-2 deficits to defeat the Coquitlam Adanacs 8-4 in a Western Lacrosse Association game late Friday night at the Q Centre.

Andrew Kew had three goals and two assists as the Shamrocks scored the final six goals of the game. Chris Wardle added two goals for Victoria, which moved to 6-1-1. Adam Noakes had a goal on a three-point night for Coquitlam, which went to 6-2-1.

The Shamrocks are at Langley on Wednesday to play the Thunder (4-4) before hosting the New Westminster Salmonbellies (7-0) next Friday in a key match-up at the Q Centre.

The Nanaimo Timbermen (1-7) were playing the Salmonbellies in a late-finishing game Saturday night and the T-Men host the Adanacs Sunday at 5 p.m. at Frank Crane Arena.
