Snowbirds set to fly over Victoria in July, Nanaimo in August

“It’s not our full airshow routine, but when nine jets slice the sky in tight formation you’ll definitely know we were there,” a social media post from the Snowbirds says of the July 22 Victoria display.

The Snowbirds return to Victoria skies next month in what a social-media post by the group says will be “a non-aerobatic display.”

“It’s not our full airshow routine, but when nine jets slice the sky in tight formation you’ll definitely know we were there,” the post said of the July 22 display.

The Snowbirds were in the Comox area in May for training for the 2025 airshow season and had planned a flypast over the Thrifty Foods Victoria Day Parade, but had to cancel due to rainy weather.

The Snowbirds are also headed to Nanaimo Aug. 15 and 16 for what Nanaimo Mayor Leonard Krog said will be their first visit to the city in some time.

“I’m looking forward to it,” Krog said. “We’ll welcome them with open arms.”

The team entertained Victoria crowds last August when it accompanied the Hawaiian Martin Mars water bomber from Sproat Lake to Patricia Bay, before the massive plane was taken to its final destination at the B.C. Aviation Museum in North Saanich.
