Hoodie-wearing thieves who scooped up armfuls of Amazon packages from the mailroom of a Langford apartment last week have yet to be apprehended.

West Shore RCMP have released security-camera footage of the incident at Glen Valley Grove Apartments and are appealing for help identifying two suspects.

The video compilation of several camera feeds shows the suspects taking packages from the mailroom floor and shoving them into backpacks before walking out of the building.

Police say one of the suspects is a male with a goatee with a “light-medium” skin tone. He was wearing a white zip-up jacket with Nike branding and a baseball cap, along with black-rimmed glasses, burgundy runners, black pants and a red-and-grey backpack.

The other suspect was wearing all black and had their face covered. That person was wearing a silver watch, black running shoes with white soles and a red Nike check mark, and red-and-black work gloves with unidentified white text on them, along with a black backpack with Pelican branding.

Cpl. Nancy Saggar of West Shore RCMP said police are not disclosing how the suspects were able to enter the building at 3149 Aggregate Court at around 5:40 a.m. that day, as that is part of the ongoing investigation.

A representative with Devon Properties, which manages the rental property, referred questions about the incident to police.

The six-storey building is owned by Oakcrest Park Estates Ltd., a property development company owned by the Eng family.

Saggar said the detachment occasionally gets reports of mailroom theft, but she believes the number of incidents is higher than what is reported to police.
